The Plainstamp Android app
Get the Plainstamp app from Google Play, sign in, turn on notifications and use the shortcuts on its icon.
Plainstamp has an app for Android phones and tablets on Google Play. It's the same Plainstamp you use in a browser, with its own icon, notifications that come from the Plainstamp app, and shortcuts on the icon.
Everything you can do on the website you can do in the app, and new features show up in the app at the same time, without updating it.
Install the app#
On your Android phone, open the Google Play store.
Search for Plainstamp.
Tap Install.
Open Plainstamp from your home screen or app list.
Sign in with the same email and password (or Google or Microsoft account) you use on the website. If your workspace uses two-step sign-in, enter the code from your authenticator app.
Turn on notifications in the app#
In the app, open the menu and tap Settings, then the Notifications tab.
Under Phone and desktop notifications, tap Turn on for this device.
When Android asks if Plainstamp may send you notifications, tap Allow.
Notifications then show as coming from the Plainstamp app. For requests, you can tap Approve or Reject right on the notification. See Turn on phone and desktop notifications.
Shortcuts on the app icon#
Press and hold the Plainstamp icon on your home screen to see two shortcuts:
My tasks opens your tasks.
Snap a receipt opens the receipt form, ready for you to photograph a receipt and send it in.
You can drag a shortcut onto your home screen to keep it one tap away.
Links open in the app#
Links to Plainstamp in emails and invites (for example, "Open Plainstamp" in a notification email) open straight in the app when it's installed.
Prefer not to install anything?#
You can also use Plainstamp in Chrome on your phone. Go to app.plainstamp.com, sign in, and use it like the website. Notifications work there too.
Uninstall or delete your account#
Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account. To delete your account, see Delete your account.
