Every new workspace gets the Starter plan free for 3 months, no card needed. How to see the days left, the reminder emails, what read-only means, and when an unused workspace is deleted.
Every new workspace gets the Starter plan free for 3 months. You don't need a credit card to start. After that, Starter is $5 a month (or $4 a month paid yearly, $48 a year), and you can choose any bigger plan at any time.
What's included#
The trial is the full Starter plan: up to 3 people, 20 invoice reads a month, 1 GB of files, 100 emails a month and 1 free accountant seat, with all the boards, approvals, reports, budgets, reimbursements, task templates and phone notifications. See Plans: what each one includes.
Need more people or a bigger plan's features during the trial? You can choose any plan on Plan & billing at any time.
See how many days are left#
In the menu on the left, click Plan & billing.
At the top, your plan shows Free trial · N days left, for example "Free trial · 23 days left".
In the last 14 days of the trial, a banner at the top of Plainstamp shows the days left, with a Choose a plan link.
Reminder emails#
The workspace owner gets an email:
14 days before the trial ends,
3 days before it ends, and
on the day it ends.
Each one has a link straight to Plan & billing.
When the trial ends#
If you haven't chosen a plan by the end of the 3 months, the workspace becomes read-only:
Nothing is deleted yet. Every task, bill, transaction, file and approval stays.
Everyone can still sign in and see everything, and download files and reports.
Nobody can add or change anything until a plan is chosen: no new tasks, bills or uploads, and no approving.
Plan & billing shows "Trial ended on …" followed by the date, and "read-only". It and the read-only banner also show the date the workspace will be deleted if no plan is chosen.
If no plan is chosen within 6 months#
A workspace that stays read-only for 6 months after the trial ended is deleted, with all its data and files. Before that happens:
The owner and admins get an email 7 days before and 1 day before the deletion date.
Right before deletion, Plainstamp exports all the workspace's data: a ZIP file with a spreadsheet for each board, plus every file that was uploaded. The owner gets an email with a download link. The link works for 30 days.
Choosing any plan before the deletion date stops it, and the workspace is back to normal straight away.
Get out of read-only#
In the menu on the left, click Plan & billing (or click Choose a plan in the banner).
Pick Monthly or Yearly.
Click Choose under any plan, Starter included, and pay on Stripe's secure page.
The workspace can be used again as soon as the payment goes through, usually within a few seconds. See Choose or change your plan.
Created your workspace before October 21, 2026?#
It stays free. Workspaces created before October 21, 2026 keep the Starter plan at no cost, with no trial and no end date, and they're never deleted for not having a plan. You can still move to a bigger plan whenever you like.
